Ccaps has been Thinking Latin America since 1999 and now we moved one step ahead. Although we haven’t left our beloved city of Rio de Janeiro, we moved to a new, larger and better located office in the most charming part of downtown Rio, on Mexico Street.
In the early years of the last century, the central part of the city was completely revamped following the latest European trends under the direction of mayor Pereira Passos. Most of the old colonial houses were demolished and the area was turned into a public square, Cinelândia, the land of movie theaters.

Following the French Beaux-Arts architectural style and symbolizing the modernization of the city, a series of public buildings were built around the square, among which are the Municipal Theatre (Theatro Municipal), the National Museum of Fine Arts (Museu Nacional de Belas Artes) and the Brazilian National Library (Biblioteca Nacional). The new Ccaps office is right behind the Library, and we are ecstatic to be surrounded by such monumental venues where manifestations of classical and contemporary music, dance, art and literature took place over the years.
