Membership granted immediate partnership and new business
Ccaps Translation and Localization has joined the Globalization & Localization Association. GALA is a non-profit, international association for the translation, internationalization, localization and globalization industry. Founded in April 2002 by 15 localization companies from 12 countries on four continents, GALA currently has 100 members. The global organization provides members a common forum to discuss industry-related issues and create innovative solutions that generate business opportunities.
Fabiano Cid, Ccaps Managing Director, said he was impressed by GALA’s Code of Conduct, which establishes rigorous standards for all members. “Ccaps’ goals, beliefs and procedures are all in line with those of GALA’s, especially in terms of transparency, confidentiality and quality,” said Cid.
The GALA Code of Conduct also requires members to have and/or make available the necessary technical and logistic infrastructure to fulfill each task as outlined in the joint project. Such a practice is a top priority for Ccaps, which strives to keep up-to-date with today’s ever-changing technology. With ongoing investments in technology infrastructure and the help of its engineers, Ccaps is constantly updated as to the state-of-the-art innovations in the translation and localization industry.
Only a week after Ccaps appeared on the GALA member list for the first time, it was contacted by another member company looking for a Brazilian Portuguese partner. The whole process was impressively straightforward and after a few email messages, the two companies managed to close the deal. “As GALA members, we share the same basic vision, which dramatically simplifies communication and even business itself,” added Cid.
